Experienced physician Gaston Perez, MD, and nurse practitioners Catherine Bennet and Jenika Errato welcome people of all ages.

Patients requiring acute care visits can simply walk in to the family medicine clinic.

Global Family and Functional Medicine has its own full-service lab facilities on site for fast testing, as well as diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and echocardiogram technology. As part of their commitment to preventive medicine, the team offers nutritional supplements from respected brands like LifeVantage®.

Early Detection Scans

Global LifeScan empowers you to take control of your own healthcare journey! Don’t wait until a symptom occurs. We offer early screening for heart disease, cancer, aneurisms, and other healthcare issues. All scans take less than 15 minutes and utilize safe, low dose CT imaging technology by GE. Global LifeScan is proud to partner with Dr. Perez and Global Family and Functional Medicine serving the Bluffton community for over 20 years. We are privileged to bring self service proactive health screening to the Global community from Savannah to Charleston.

Board-certified family physician with over 30 years of experience specializing in preventive, regenerative, anti-aging, and comprehensive patient-centered care for individuals and families.

Jenika Errato, FNP-BC

Board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in urgent and primary care, cytopathology, chronic disease management and ongoing education commitment.

Accepted Insurance

Our office staff will be glad to assist you with your insurance coverage. We will submit all insurance claims for you. We will fully attempt to help you receive full insurance benefits; however, you are personally responsible for your account, and we encourage you to contact us if your policy has not paid within 45 days. If we are not contracted under your insurance, you will be given a copy of services and charges to file with your insurance claim form.

Some insurance companies cover telehealth, while others don’t. Additionally, some states require insurance companies to reimburse at the same rate as they cover for in-person appointments. In most states, Medicaid covers telehealth. Check with your insurance provider to find out if you’re covered.
